A letter to myself

For a very long time, I am trying to figure out what my purpose in life is. I look around and wonder why someone rides on a range rover and another makes his daily bread by cleaning it?
I think of helping at least one person so as to have self satisfaction. I am not rich,so helping someone financially is out of question;I can buy someone lunch, but is that enough?I know what you will say, giving financial support is not the only way you can help someone. You are probably right.
I need to solve this puzzle to find the way forward: I wake up same time everyday to go to the office, why? I need my daily bread right? I have to have some money in my bank account every end month. I spend eight hours in the office and at least one hour waiting for transport and probably another hour in traffic jam. I reach home, eat, watch TV to be at par with the rest of the world; well, the last bit is not totally true. Then comes bed time or study time.Go to bed and the cycle begins over and over again. In short, the twenty four hours is not enough for me! When will I have time to help others?

  1. 1. There is never time for anything, you create time.
    2. You work hard and get a range rover so you can create a job for that person to clean it..and with time you can improve their lives and give

  2. Its the small things that count. For example, on your way home from work, pass by a hospital and give a smile to somebody sick in bed. They will feel loved and cared for without you giving a bob.
But if helping someone is what your are really longing for, it will come to pass. I am a strong believer in determination. Once you are determined to achieve something, there is no way you are gonna miss it.
I love your spirit and continue in that direction

  4. You know J, I certainly am not a religious person in the usual sense of the word but today I was reading something about zakat. Here is a partThe Prophet said: 'Charity is a necessity for every Muslim. ' He was asked: 'What if a person has nothing?' The Prophet replied: 'He should work with his own hands for his benefit and then give something out of such earnings in charity.' The Companions asked: 'What if he is not able to work?' The Prophet said: 'He should help poor and needy persons.' The Companions further asked 'What if he cannot do even that?' The Prophet said 'He should urge others to do good.' The Companions said 'What if he lacks that also?' The Prophet said 'He should check himself from doing evil. That is also charity.'

You have a beautiful heart and Allah t'Ala will guide you as to how best to help. Remember also that maximizing our abilities is part of the helping process because by doing so we are in a better position to help even more. Finally, we should always remember that all help is not so much for the person getting it but for the glory of Allah t'Ala.

  6. I like this post coz am at the point where I am asking myself what exactly am I on earth for? I thought I could break if I tried many things but now I want to see where exactly is my breaking point. I may be stronger than I give myself credit for.
